The New Apostolic Reformation is reshaping American Christianity and politics through a network of modern-day "apostles" and "prophets" who claim direct divine authority to govern society—a movement that mobilized Christians toward Jan. 6 and continues building power through cross-pollination with far-right militias, white nationalist groups, and Christian nationalist organizing. This independent charismatic movement, pioneered by C. Peter Wagner, and amplified by such figures as Dutch Sheets, Cindy Jacobs, and Ché Ahn, has created a theology of dominion—the Seven Mountains Mandate—that calls Christians to take control of all spheres of society, from government to media to education. What began as fringe Pentecostal theology has exploded into a multi-ethnic, tech-savvy coalition that operates through decentralized leadership networks, prophetic declarations, and spiritual warfare campaigns—functioning as the theological backbone of Christian Trumpism while increasingly embracing militia tactics, tribunal justice systems, and authoritarian political strategies that threaten democratic institutions.
